SAP is a company that has already reached the top of the enterprise resource planning (ERP) software market, but that has not deterred it from chasing its dream of being the best in other sectors too.
Rob Enslin, corporate officer and president of global field operations at the company, has told Destination CRM that SAP still has plenty of goals to achieve.
For example, he noted that the next target is to reach the number one position in the cloud industry – an aim he relayed to members of the SAP Forum at its recent New York meeting.
Another target for the company is to grow its presence in the mobile-based business applications sector.
Mr Enslin's words suggest SAP is not resting on its laurels, despite recently posting its best-ever financial results for 2011.
He added that the firm will look to work more closely with partners and suppliers in a bid to further improve its portfolio of solutions.
