Role and Specification - Team Leader
Role overview
This is a dual target-carrying and management role. The primary objectives of the role are two-fold; to develop and build on the existing team, growing both the revenue and the team members through managing and motivating them, and achieving personal revenue targets. Both objectives hold equal value to the business. It is envisaged that when the team is delivering an agreed and appropriate revenue level, that this role would change to a purely management focus. This role reports into the M.D.
Responsibilities:
Targets and goals
- Agreeing team and personal targets and goals in line with corporate objectives
- Achieving team targets and goals, working on both a short and long-term basis
- Achieving personal billing targets and goals
- Ensuring minimum operational standards are maintained, both personally and by team members
- Reporting financial and activity results to the M.D. on a weekly and monthly basis
Team business development and sales management
- Identifying new business opportunities for the business and the team
- Consistently encouraging team members to achieve a blend of existing client and candidate management and new client and client acquisition
Team management
- Recruiting, training, coaching and developing team members
- Managing the performance of team members through an agreed review and appraisal process
- Promoting an ‘over-achievement’ ethos within the team and a ‘work hard, play-hard’ culture
- Encourage staff to develop career plans and enable them to achieve them with in the business
Personal business development
- Develop excellent client and candidate relationships and build key account opportunities
- Represent Pioneer at client meetings to develop the business opportunity
- Manage and retain contractors and candidates to ensure revenue continuity
Person specification
Key Skills and Experience
This is a role for an experienced proven team leader who can evidence and reference both significant sales and team leading success within the IT recruitment market.
Essential skills
- 3+ years in the IT recruitment industry
- 1 years experience of managing 2+ staff working to both activity and revenue targets and achieving both
- Evidence of working within a non-PSL recruitment environment where the focus has been on delivering business into a range of new clients at good margins
- Able to lead sales from the front with a high work ethic and activity focus in the office leading to strong sales results
- Excellent understanding of the IT recruitment market, the needs of clients and candidates and how to meet them
- Knows how to set targets and monitor against them, performance managing staff appropriately to achieve set goal
- Good business development skills and target achievement
Desirable
- 3+ years in the recruitment industry
- 1+ year in ERP recruitment, ideally SAP or Finance Systems
